Run of the South is one of our pre-planned Namibia routes: 8 days and 7 nights, looping out of Windhoek through Burgsdorf Guest Farm, Quiver Tree Forest & Giant's Playground, Fish River Canyon, Lüderitz, Burgsdorf Guest Farm and back — roughly 1,960 km of driving in all. A note on day one: morning arrivals into Windhoek can start the route the same day, but if you land after midday we recommend a first night in or near the capital — the distances out here are real, and the trip is better begun rested.
